About
Eltham Palace is a unique blend of 1930s Art Deco splendour and medieval history. Once a lavish medieval palace where Henry VIII spent his childhood, it fell into ruin before being spectacularly transformed in the 1930s by millionaires Stephen and Virginia Courtauld into a glamorous Art Deco mansion.
The result is an extraordinary time capsule showcasing cutting-edge design, luxurious interiors, and innovative technology of the 1930s, alongside the remains of the magnificent Great Hall built in the 1470s.
The Palace is set in 19 acres of beautiful gardens.
